August 14, 2026: GAIL (India) Limited has nominated Dr Banwari Lal and Smt Rupa Saikia as non-official independent directors on its board of directors. The appointments were approved by the Competent Authority within the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

The nominations are effective from August 12, 2026, for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The company stated it is taking further necessary action to complete the appointment formalities.
