July 30, 2026: A Navigator Gas-owned LPG carrier has been hit by a $4.7m claim from an Indian charterer.
An arrest warrant was issued against the 20,500-cbm gas carrier Navigator Aries (built 2008) on Monday by the High Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad, which has jurisdiction over vessels docked in the port of Kandla, where the ship arrived on 19 July.
Confidence Petroleum India, which took the Navigator Aries on a 12-month time charter in May 2025, claims that problems with the ship’s mooring and anchoring machinery led it to collide with an oil terminal buoy in the Bangladeshi port of Chattogram during November 2025.
